Photography policy

The welfare is absolutely paramount to us so we have this photography policy in place.

Children, parents and guardians have the right to decide whether their images are taken and shared.

Please see below how we manage our photography and videography. 

Taking and storing images:

  • The client understands that Little Dreamers Entertainment assistants or entertainers can take photos and videos on a personal, not a business mobile phone, this will then be sent to Eliza Chambers, owner of little dreamers entertainment personal phone.

  • Photos will be stored indefinitely until Little Dreamers Entertainment ceases to operate. If you wish for photos to be deleted let us know, by emailing at eliza@littledreamersentertainment.co.uk

  • At ticketed events, an assistant may take photos and they will be easily identifiable wearing a Little Dreamers Entertainment branded top. This is in our terms and conditions and clients are notified of this in an email after deposit payment.

  • We will only store photos and videos of children in appropriate clothing

 

 Sharing images:

  • Photos and videos will be used only for marketing purposes to promote our business, including but not limited to:

    • our website

    • our flyers

    • our social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, Linkdin

  • For parties: We ask for permission to share photos sent to us of the birthday child at the booking after the party, over email..

    For events ticketed by Little Dreamers Entertainment or a collaborator such as venue partner or party planner: Upon booking in for an event, the client agrees to inform Little Dreamers Entertainment or the event organiser if the child in their care cannot be photographed or filmed and cannot be posted online for marketing purposes.

  • if you publicly share your own photos and videos to social media and google reviews, we will share these photos and videos for our intended marketing purpose

  • We will only use the first name and age of the birthday child when we share an image of them on our social media platforms, and will not publish any other personal information.

  • We will not tag clients in the photos, unless specifically asked by them or they have shared a photo tagging us, which we may then reshare

  • We will never post inappropriate photos of children online and only post photos and videos of children in appropriate clothing.

 

No permission

If children, parents and/or carers do not consent to photographs being shared online, we will respect their wishes. We will never exclude a child from an activity because we do not have consent to take their photograph. We will blur out their face if they are in the photo /video or take photos from behind so their face is not visible.

Permission withdrawal

If any client withdraws consent for an image to be shared, it will be deleted from our online platforms by Little Dreamers Entertainment but the client understands that once posted it is out of the Little Dreamers Entertainment control and is not permanently deleted from online.

 

Image sharing risks

The client understands that by agreeing to have photos taken of the children and posted online they understand the potential risks that come with sharing images online. For example:

  • Images may be copied, downloaded, screen-shotted or shared by anyone

  • Images of children may be adapted and used inappropriately

  • Photos or videos may appear in internet search results

  • Depending on the terms and conditions of using an online platform, the image may be owned by the platform once it’s been posted. Platforms may then license images for use by third parties – such as for commercial purposes

  • Each photo or video, and any comments on them, become a part of a child’s public image. This may affect them later in life – for example, it may affect how they see themselves, or how they are viewed when applying for a job

The client is aware of the potential risks when agreeing for photography and videography to be carried out and shared.
